    This booklet was created as a Michigan Week Activity and published by the Sault Ste. Marie Junior High School under the auspices of the Chippewa County     Historical Society, Inc. of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.  Copyright 1971. It is a documented history of  education of Sault Ste.Marie schools accompanied by photographs. 
     
     
    This accurate and detailed history of Sault Ste.Marie Schools was in part funded by the Michigan Council for the Humanities as a Centennial Celebration Project.  Mr. John Kenn, Sault Area high School librarian and school historian, and Mr. Robert Aldrich, Sault Area Junior High School history teacher and social studies department head, and Steven Malmberg, the Project Director, have attempted to provide a history of the educational changes in Sault Ste.
