High School Announcements

  • ATHLETES:  If you plan to join a sport this school year, please make sure you have a sports physical on file with the Athletic Office.  Sports physicals are available at the SHACC. Medicaid, MIChild and most insurances accepted. The maximum fee for a SHACC comprehensive physical not covered by insurance is $10. No student will be denied services based on inability to pay.

  • CROSS COUNTRY: Practices will be held Monday - Friday from 9 - 11:30 am at the High School beginning on August 10, 2016.

  • FOOTBALL GAME: Our first home-game is at 7 pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 vs. Alpena High. Come out and cheer for your Blue Devils!

  • STUDENT SCHEDULE CHANGES:  Students who would like to make changes to their schedule must have an appointment scheduled with their counselor by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9th.   Please see Mrs. Roy in the Guidance Office to schedule an appointment.   Mrs. Talentino - Sophomore and Seniors, Ms. Kenn - Freshmen and Juniors.

  • DRIVER EDUCATION:  The first Segment I Driver Education class will begin on September 26th.  This leaves a very short turn around time to develop the waiting list, generate letters and collect the deposit.  If you child is 14 years 8 months old and is interested in signing up please have them come to the front office.  The deadline for sign up for the first class is Friday, September 9th.  The $225.00 deposit will be due by September 21st.  The oldest students on the waiting list are given priority.  Students will be called to the Strahl Theater and given an informational letter with dates if they got into the class.

    The first Segment II class will be held September 19th, 20th and 21st in room 160.  You must bring your permit from the Secretary of State and your driving log which should include 30 hours of driving, including 2 at night.
