Special Education Endorsement in Leaning disabilities. Masters Degree in Administration.

Ms. Christine Foster

I moved back to Sault Sainte Marie in August 2020. I previously worked at Sault Area Middle School from 2001 through 2012. In August of 2012 , I moved to Stebbins, Alaska, a small village in Northwest Alaska only accessible by bush plane. I taught in a K-12 school which housed 200 students of Yupik Eskimo descent. I ran the special education program  as well as serving as Assistant Principal for the last two years. This was a marvelous experience for me!

I earned a Bachelors Degree in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University in 1984. I earned my ZA endorsement from Grand Valley State University in 1991. My Learning Disabilities endorsement was earned from Saginaw Valley State University in 2004. Lastly, I earned a Masters Degree in school principalship in December of 2010.

I have one son who graduated from Sault High in 2006 and was involved in soccer and track. I have three grandchildren who attend Sault Area Schools. My grandchildren will be at the High school as a freshman, the middle school as a 7th grader, and at Lincoln as a third grader! My sister and I share a home with two dogs. I love to be outside, walk, cook,  travel, and read. I am very excited to be a part of Sault Area High School! This year, I am co- teaching biology and physical science with Mr. Armstrong, have 2 periods of study skills, and  a Transitions Skills Class.
