District Mission

The Sault Ste. Marie Area Public Schools, in partnership with students, parents, and the community, will provide all students with opportunities to attain a high quality education in a safe, positive environment and to maximize their intellectual, physical, emotional, and social skills, preparing them to be productive, responsible citizens.




  • Enroll in the Award Winning Sault Area Public Schools by presenting the following items to your school.
    • Student's Offical Birth Certificate (not the one with the child's footprints)
    • Parent Identification (drivers license or other picture I.D.)
    • Immunization Record (if not in previous school file)
    • Proof of Residency (utility bill, driver's license, rental agreement, etc.)
    Please contact the Middle School Office (635-6604)  and the High School Counseling Office (635-3839 Ext. 5819) for an appointment to enroll students in those schools.
