  • SAMS M-STEP Assessment Schedule

Throughout the months of April and May, Sault Area Middle School students will participate in the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP). The M-STEP is a newly formatted state assessment that has replaced the MEAP assessment; currently in its second year of operation. The M-STEP test results are used to determine how well Michigan students are learning important skills in each subject area that is assessed. Each test session will take place in your student's regular assigned content area classroom throughout the day. This creates a more conducive environment for students' success on the M-STEP. Listed below are the test dates for Sault Area Middle School.

    7th Grade

May 9 and 10 - Reading Computer Adaptive

May 16 and 17 - Math Computer Adaptive

May 18 and 19 - Math Performance Task

    May 23, 24, 25, and 26 - Science
